We are here also to support our second amendment rights. They did not want me to come, thinking you are monsters, that you are culpable in the murder of the children.

On June 14, 1777, the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution that the flag of the thirteen states fighting for freedom be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field representing a new constellation.  Thus, June 14th is recognized as Flag Day in the United States.  As new states were added to the union, we added stars until we have the 50-star flag we fly today but retain the thirteen red and white stripes representing the original thirteen colonies.
